IMPORTANT VICTORIAN HERTER BROTHERS DRESSING TABLE Beautiful signed Herter Bros. Dressing Table One look at this fine Dressing Table and you know someone special made it. The delicate details are numerous, from the fine fluted column mirror supports to the abundant use of string inlay on the oval mirror frame, on each of the five drawer fronts, on the recessed ends, on the top and bottom of each of the four legs, on the work surface front edge, and also accenturating the curved stretcher. The work surface is magnificent and the gently bowed front accented with cookie corners and most ornate brass spiral drawer pulls are all executed with the most precision. Other ornate featurs include the delicate scrolls found on the corner of each leg and the mirror supports and finally the most recognized Herter Bros. design of the floral marquetry inlay found around the center drawer pull, all raised on original casters. Presented in Very Fine restored condition. The Mahogany and Mahogany veneers are most attractive, circa 1870's. The Herter Bros. signature found on the bottom of this fabulous table is identical to the one pictured in the Herter Brothers reference book on page 224.
