A rare catalogue and price list of nineteenth century baskets. Printed on the inside title page is the following: "Illustrated Catalogue and Price List of Baskets and Fruit Packages Manufactured by T. C. Avis, Office and Warehouse, No. 112 Spruce St., Philadelphia, PA, Factory: Oxford Basket Works (formerly the Ashtabula Basket Co.), Chanango Co., Oxford, New York, 1892, Goods Delivered direct from Store or Factory Splint, Stave, Bamboo or Rattan Baskets made to order. W.A. Church, Pr., 127 South Third St., Philadelph'a." The catalogue measures 6 1/8" by 3 5/8". The pages are numbered up to 34. Several pages have a half fingertip sized brown stain in the midpoint of the edge. One page has a thin diagonal wrinkle in the upper margin. The condition can be seen in the accompanying scans which include reduced size images of the illustrations of the baskets. The pages prior to the illustrations include a greeting to customers, information about the basket company and their products, and instructions for ordering baskets.
