Description:
Fine bone Bavarian china by C.M. Hutschenreuther in Arzburg Bavaria Germany. This is the mark of C.M. Hutschenreuther the father of the two sons who would carry on his tradition of fine china. He first used this backstamp in 1839. He died in 1845 and his wife Johanna and two sons took over the business. They bought a factory in Arzburg in 1918 and these pieced are specifically marked Arzburg. According to J.P. Cushion, "Handbook of Pottery & Porcelain Marks" they used this backstamp in Arzburg, Bavaria circa 1918. The four bowls are in the "Capri" pattern, coupe soup bowls. The porcelain is white with pink flowers and brown stems. All pieces are trimmed in gold. T is a small loss of gold on the rims which is natural, still in very good condition, no cracks or chips of any kind. Please see photos for details!
