Size: 4” This adorable Hummel is called ‘Chimney Sweep’. It is a figurine of a blonde, rosy-cheeked little chimney sweep with a ladder under his arm. This is a genuine M.I. Hummel, masterfully crafted by the W. Geobel Company. The design is based on the beloved artwork of the celebrated artist Sister Maria Innocentia Hummel.
The pattern number is 94/3/0. This figure was first designed by master sculptor Arthur Moeller in 1935 and was originally called “Smoky”. It has been a favorite of Hummel collectors for nearly a century. The One Line Mark (Small Stylized Bee) on the bottom indicates that this particular piece was made sometime between 1960 and 1972. It is 4" tall and 1.5” wide. It is in almost perfect condition. The only blemish is a single tiny line of crazing through the trademark on the bottom. It bears the Goebel backstamp and the signature of Maria Innocentia Hummel.
