Description: Superb quality and style Renaissance Revival rosewood Victorian armchair. There is a brass rosette attached to the top of each side. The entire chair is decorated with original gilt incised carvings and fluting. Applied carvings, including grapes, are on each arm. The original old fabric on this chair was all frayed so we had it removed and the chair structurally tightened to be all ready to reupholster. We have a bag with all the old fabric and springs that will go with the chair if requested. We believe this chair was made by Pottier and Stymus, NYC but we can't make a firm attribution.
