Description: Additional photos available. A mixture of solid and lattice rattan comprise the exterior of this gray Heywood Wakefield couch or chaise lounge. In excellent condition as is the padded deep rose and gray floral brushed cotton covering with antique cream background which tops the comfortable piece. Probably redone along the way as in excellent condition. The long nap on the cotton gives a suede feel. Edged in corresponding gemp. The rolled head rest and solid frame one of Wakefield's trademarks,combining beauty and comfort. Listed as #6235,couch,in the Heywood Brothers and Wakefield Company Classic Wicker Furniture Complete 1898-1899 Illustrated Catalog. As the two companies merged bringing with them previous designs at this point,the piece was probably created several years prior. Measures 68L X 26W X 27H.
