Description: Etching on paper, unframed (matted). Artist signature and date in pencil lower right: "Henry R. Beekman 1925". Artist information, medium and edition (30) inscribed in pencil paper verso. Exhibition label attached to mat verso: "Chicago International Exhibition of Etchings - 1926. Name: Henry R. Beekman. Address: 38 East 76th St. NY City NY. Title: Back Stage". Dimensions: Platemarks: 8 x 9 3/4in. Mat: 18 x 14in. Weight: Condition: Attached to mat with tape along all four edges verso. Darkening to paper throughout. Paper margins appear to have been trimmed. Light soiling to surface. Mat burn along all four edges. Surrounding mat in poor condition and should be replaced. Otherwise, good condition overall. Artist's Biography:
Henry Rutgers Beekman (1880 - 1938). Lived/Active: New York. Known for: still life, etcher. Associations: New York Watercolor Society; Salons of America; Washington DC Watercolor Club.
