Description: French Henri II (Renaissance) period provincial oak buffet a deux corps, the upper portion with stepped slightly outset cornice above a frieze of deeply relief-carved birds flanking a cherub's head, over two paneled doors carved with allegorical figures of spring and summer above three short cherub's head drawers; the outset lower portion with two long floral and foliate carved drawers above two paneled doors carved with figures representing autumn and winter, on stepped base raised on paneled block feet (upper and lower interiors each fitted with a shelf; original teardrop drawer pulls and key escutcheons).
