As coin watches go - this is one of the nicest we here at Father Time Antiques have seen! The watch case is coin silver, of course, and measures 38mm in diameter. The coin is dated 1898 and the watch was made circa 1921. Notice the engraving it is still very crisp. Even the center of the dial is nicely engraved. The movement is a Swiss 17 jewels precision piece that is running like a top! This is an unusual watch that was custom made for the Mexican market and one that could be a nice additon to your collection. When these watches are made a real coin is very carefully cut in half and hollowed out to contain the movement. This would also be a great piece to carry on a daily basis since it is coin sized and easy on the pocket. In any event it is the kind of watch that you will not see very often...it is the only one like it that we have had the pleasure to own in 28 years.
