Description:
Great piece of signed on the base HEINTZ Bronze with Sterling trim. This appears to be a large vase, the liner which was found at the estate fit inside the piece so I assume they go together. This piece is so large that I think it could be for a champagne bottle? The metal liner has a rounded base that goes approx. 3/4 of the way into the piece itself. All in good condition with only a small dent on the back upper lip which could be easily banged out with a rubber hammer. the photos show the piece with and without the liner in place. The patina is original, your choice if you want to polish the finish up! The front is monogrammed with a persons name who supposidly won the golf tournament that year. The piece is dated with the writing as: NEW ENGLAND HOTEL MENS ASSOCIATION, Boston 1917. Won by A. Perry Fairfield, Presented by W.S.Quimby. Those of you who want to do research may find out the name of the tournament with these details. This is a huge piece and a great find, signed Heintz.
