Description:
This clear and frosted souvenir drinking glass of beautiful Lake Champlain is marked on the bottom: H with the A inside the bottom for the Hazel Atlas Company. The Hazel-Atlas Glass Company was a large producer of machine-molded glass containers headquartered in Wheeling, West Virginia. It was founded in 1902 in Washington, Pennsylvania as the merger of four companies:Hazel Glass and Metals Company, Atlas Glass Company, Wheeling Metal Plant and Republic Glass Company. By the 1930’s, Hazel-Atlas had fifteen plants and was the largest glass manufacturer in the world. It continued to make containers and tableware until the 1950s. In 1956, Hazel-Atlas, at that time the third largest producer of glass containers in the U.S., was acquired by the Continental Can Company. With red lettering of a map of Lake Champlain it shows all the Ferry Crossings. In very good condition, some of the red lettering is missing from age, which I have shown in my pictures and it measures 4 5/8 inches tall and 2 1/2 inches across the rim. A wonderful addition to any State or Hazel Atlas Collection. SH & Ins. will be quoted after orders placed. If you have any questions contact me and thank you for looking.
