Description: Oval footed soup tureen in the Tarascon patter, Schleiger 452 by Haviland & Company, Limoges, France. Circa 1889-1893. The opening of the tureen measures 10.5" long by 8.5" wide and is 6" high to top of bow finial. No chips or cracks or worn gold. Only imperfection is a small black spot at the very edge of lid. These are caused by air bubbles during firing that catch the coal dust in the kilns. Small lavendar flowers on white porcelain. Pretty bow handles and finial touched with gold.
