Description:
This is a hardcover cookbook called I Hate to Cook . It was written in 1960 by Peg Bracken and has 176 pages. This cookbook is for those of us who hate to cook and who have learned through hard experience that some activities become no less painful through repetition: childbearing, paying taxes, and cooking. It is for those of us who want to fold our big dishwater hands around a dry martini instead of a wet flounder. Some sample recipes are: Cancan Casserole, Hurry Curry, Spinach Surprise, Posh Salad, Hootenholler Whiskey Cake, Lady Spice Cookies, Muffin Tin Supper, Mama's Macaroni, and Cockeyed Cake. You might find a note written in the margins. The dust jacket has seen better days but the cover is in good shape. I don't see any major flaws like torn or missing pages, stains or scribbles. Whether you are a gourmet or a beginner, this I Hate to Cook cookbook is a classic and will provide great meals for years to come.
