This was acquired out of a Central Ohio area previous estate, home or sale. WOW!!!!! The heavy huge knuckle busted and hairy carved claw feet is typical for the Hastings Furniture Company. This pedestal fluted Table is made approx. 1900-10. The 48 inch square top is made of solid quartersawn oak and so are the 4 original 12 inch wide leaves! When all leaves are in place this table becomes 8 foot in length x 4 foot wide and has a 30 inch table height. As you can see in a couple of the photos below YES THIS DOES HAVE A CENTER PEDESTAL LEG INSIDE OF THE PEDESTAL SO THAT IT CAN SUPPORT THE 4 12 INCH WIDE LEAVES. THIS PIECE IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION FOR IT'S AGE. But, if I was this old, I would have a few bumps and bruises on me as well. The majority of the furniture items that we sell are considered antique pieces which range in age from 50 to 250 years old. Some pieces will have bumps, bruises, or normal wear because of the age.
