HAMPDEN 23j NEW RAILWAY FANCY HUNTING CASE C: 1887. Fine and rare. Just removed from my personal collection. Most desirable and beautiful hunting model Railroad Grade. This famous high grade was produced prior to the 1892 railroad Approved convention in Chicago, Ill. that standardized the railroad approved watch. Featured is the absolute beauty of the gilt trimmed nickel movement and 14k rose gold capped jewel settings. This watch is completely original with the case, dial, and movement. Extremely collectible in this superb condition. THIS IS A FINE COLLECTIBLE. DON'T INVEST IN THE STOCK MARKET. BUY SOMETHING PROVEN IN TIME.
DIAL: Souble sunken white porcelain dial signed: "Hampden watch Co./ Canton, OH." Hln at bottom edge only. Rare superb dial.
MOVEMENT: 18 size, full plate nickel with gilt tirimed, lever set, "Hampden 23 Jewels" "New Railway", "ADJUSTED", all 14k rose gold capped screw down jewel settings, #1,056,344. Original to the case.
CASE: Near mint and all original fancy yellow gold filled hunting case built by the Dueber Watch Case Co. signed: "DUEBER SPECIAL". Remarkable original wonderful condition.. No personalization.
