Description: The movie "Men in Black" popularized this style of triangular Hamilton, as did Elvis in the movie "Blue Hawaii" in 1962. This was the watch that Hamilton brought to market in the late 1950's as the world's first electric watch. The model name is the "Pacer". The case is a beautiful two-tone, yellow and white gold filled combo, that has been artistically combined. Hamilton hired an automotive designer named Richard Arbib to design a very dramatic case for the watch's debut. The public went wild over the design and Hamilton produced quite a few for the demanding masses. This watch had a bad reputation among jewelers because they did not understand the new technology that required a battery to supply the motive force for the watch. Consequently there are a good number of these watches that have been badly restored, but we know how to bring ours up to factory standards and give you a full one year warranty. Yes, ours cost a bit more than other "Pacers" that you will see on the net, but our restoration process is exhaustive. On these watches this is very important. This "Pacer" has a beautiful silvered dial and the case measures 45MM by 31MM and is two-tone yellow and white gold filled. The lugs are white and the rest of the case body is yellow. The case is engraved "J R" on the back. The stylized elongated diamond shaped hands and the sweep second hand which culminates in a red arrowhead tip give the watch a really cool look. This arrowhead motif is echoed by the markers at 1,2,4,5,7,8,10, and 11. The additional advantage of this watch being electric is that you can stop the watch by pulling the crown out into the setting position therby saving the battery if you are not wearing it. If you want a historical classic that has a wonderful shape and presence then this is the watch for you! Remember all of our timepieces come with our famous one year parts and labor warranty so that you may buy with confidence.
