HAMILTON 17 JEWELS GRADE 928 30z. COIN SILVER CASE SUPER THICK CRYSTAL Circa: 1900. Rare early production. Low No. 23,176. First 48 months of production. Hamilton Watch Co. was founded in 1892 and ended production in 1969 with over 10 million watches produced. This minimum jewel count of 17 jewels became the basic standard for superior accuracy. This example comes with the original 3oz. coin silver case. This original case still has a super thick hard rock beveled crystal. Especially collectible. THIS IS A FINE COLLECTIBLE. DON'T INVEST IN THE STOCK MARKET. BUY SOMETHING PROVEN IN TIME.
DIAL: Original Single sunken white porcelain dial signed in Script. The hairlines and tiny chips are viewed with the images provided and does not seem to distract.
MOVEMENT: 18 size, open face, full plate nickel, and signed unique to this early grade in black block letter font; "HAMILTON WATCH Co./ Lancaster, Pa.", #23,176. Excellent original movement.
CASE: Double hinged back and bezel plain polished 3oz. Coin silver "FAHYS" open face case with a super original size crystal. Excellent condition and original to the movement.
