Description: This sterling repousse serpent bracelet dates to around the mid 1800's. Queen Victoria had a serpent bracelet around 1837, and her wedding ring was in the form of a snake, symbolizing everlasting love. This popularized serpent themed jewelry with all of her subjects. Each end of this beautiful bracelet has an intricate repousse detail with a small spiraling snake that looks like it has jewels mounted on its back. Each end appears hollow, with a hallmark on the underside which I cannot identify. The sides of the bracelet are rolled inwards and have slight dents. Considering the age of this bracelet, it is in wonderful condition!
