Description: This is a beautiful glass ball ornament from Hallmark, introduced in 1983. The front shows the scene between Mary and the Angel who came to tell her she had been chosen above all other women to be the earthly mother of the Son of God. On the back, in fancy Old-English style, the words of Luke 1:35. "And the angel said to her, The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be called holy, the Son of God . . ." The ornament is beautifully appointed and in excellent condition.
