SECONDS RET ANGULAR VERI-THIN CURVED 14k GOLD BLACK DIAMOND DIAL DEPLOYMENT SPRING LINKED BRACELET FACETED LUGS Circa: 1947. 49 Grams total weight. 23mm diameter without the crown by 39mm in length and 9mm thick. The height of style in the late 1940s. Featured is a solid 14k gold curved faceted luged case and original stretch linked bracelet. The black diamond dial is best suited for formal evening wear. Very rare all original spring loaded linked links in the deployment bracelet. All original bracelet to the head. Exceptionally stylish and very desirable. THIS IS A FINE COLLECTIBLE. DIAL: Mint black diamond dial with white stick diamond figures, hands and signature: "GRUEN/ Precision/ VERI-THIN". Mint dial.
MOVEMENT: 3/4 plate nickel, pendent set "Seventeen 17 Jewels", "Gruen watch Co.", signed; "VERI-THIN PATENTED" on the winding wheel. Excellent nickel plates and original to the case. Excellent condition.
CASE & BRACELET: Patented design. Snap back all 14k gold, clearly marked inside back. Long curved yellow gold case with very stylish faceted lug design and faceted matching crystal. The bracelet is also solid 14k yellow gold and each link is spring released and stretches to accommodate any size wrist. Extremely rare original bracelet. Deployment clasp is hidden with the design. Exceptionally desirable head and bracelet combination.
