Description: This is a Grinnell Spray Sprinkler chrome ashtray. Made by the Grinnell Company of the Pacific. This company was founded in 1850. The ashtray is chromed over brass, in the center is an example of the spray sprinkler head with a red liquid in a glass vial, that a fire heat will break the vial. There are two rests, large enough for cigars. The sprinkler head states "Grinnell Quartzoid 175" "Grinnell Patent C48". This piece is in excellent condition, all original.
