Description: This is an antique butter pat or butter chip made by Grindley and Company, England 1914-1918 with a pretty rose pattern and gold trim. The scalloped and embossed butter pat measures 3.45 inches in diameter and is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or wear. Butter pats are used nowadays as teabag holders, sauce dishes or ring dishes as well as adding a bit of class to the tea or dinner table in their original capacity.
