Description: Great Pair of signed Astral Lamps with exceptional original gilt and beautifully cut frosted shades. The reeded stem has retained the vibrant original gilt and the double marble plinth is in excellent condition decorated with a fine gilt molding. The lamps have been electrified and the hanging original prisms are amazingly intact and in near perfect condition. Both bases are signed "Cornelious & Co. PHILAD, July 24th 1849, Patent April 1st, 1843." Such an impressive pair of period lamps!
