Description: The amber in this pin is much more of a butterscotch color than the yellow tint that came out in photo. This pin is possibly Austrian, it is signed with hallmarks on the pin shaft and they are quite difficult to read. It is marked 925 in the same area. I believe this is a modernist (1940-50's) piece but it could be earlier. Unusual hasp of crossed silver comes over the pin shaft when it is set down. Great design and execution, mottled background and graceful curves ending in balls give this pin that stop and check it out look! Brooch is approx 2 1/2" tall and 1" at widest spot.
