Description:
It features a horse drawn coach filled with people in Victorian dress on the front, and a scene of people outside The Swans Inn on the back. This is known as the Coaching Scene. The humidor has a copper lustre band on the neck and rim. It still retains a rubber seal in excellent condition.
It seals tightly shut with a Copper seal that fits on the top of the lid. This has no smell to it and never has so we don't think this was ever used.
This would be great piece to hold tea, coffee, sugar, flour and countless other things used around the home that would benefit from being kept in a tightly sealed container.
It stands 5 1/4" by 5" and is in excellent condition with a bit of light wear to the lustre and the copper seal. The finial has a mar mark from where the copper seal rests, it isn't a chip although it appears like it is in the photo.
There is no wear to the enamel design, and it has no chips, cracks, crazing or repairs. The rubber seal is still supple and flexible with no dryness, cracking, or brittleness. This is a heavy piece.
