This is a charming America Art Deco Gossip Bench. It is made of Birch and has a rich, Deep Birch Patina. It is gorgeous! The Bench has the Seat on the right hand side. The Seat and its Back are upholstered in a neutral beige fabric. The Seat flows all of the way across. On the left are two curved Shelves. The Telephone would have been placed upon the top Shelf with the Telephone Book below. The Bench is supported upon Quadrangular Legs with Reeded Carving embellishing them. They are connected by Straight Stretchers. If you enjoy collecting lovely pieces of Americana, this gorgeous Gossip Bench is an excellent choice. It comes from a romantic era in American history and will add a charming elegance to any room in which it is placed.
