Description: This sterling silver and mixed metal butter knife is a lovely example of Aesthetic Movement silver by Gorham, one of America's leading silverware firms. Its richly hand hammered surface provides wonderful sparkle and texture. The applied mixed metal decoration on the handle of a branch, leaves, and berries, provides beautiful contrast in this piece. The reverse of the handle has been stamped with the identifying marks of the Gorham Manufacturing Co., and the words Sterling & Other Metals. The reverse of the blade has been engraved with the name Lloyd. This butter knife measures approx. 8" long. It is in excellent condition with crisp decoration, and with only typical wear on the blade.
