Description: This is a beautiful sterling silver loving cup made by the premier American silversmiths at Gorham in an Art Nouveau design. This elegant design features a flaring cylindrical low-bellied body with three elegantly curved and tapering handles mounted with a beaded border. The body is elegantly decorated with deep chased and repoussd designs of bushy, leafy scrolls that are dynamic and dimensional. This loving cup is in excellent condition with its original gold wash interior, and has not been monogrammed. It measures approx. 8 3/4" high, its opening is approx. 5 1/2" in diameter, and it weighs approx. 44 troy ounces. It is marked under the base with the mark of Gorham, the word Sterling, pattern number 152, and the date symbol for 1880. This beautiful loving cup has an Art Nouveau sensibility and would make a distinction addition to any silver collection
