Description:
This is a rare Goodyear Tire Co. collectible! It is a Schrader's Sons tire gauge, it is marked "SUPPLIED FOR GOODYEAR AKRON TIRES AND TIRE SAVERS MANUFACTURED BY GOODYEAR TIRE AND RUBBER CO. AKRON OHIO U.S.A." It is also marked "PATENTED JULY.6.09 & MAR.28.16 OTHER PATENTS PENDING SCHRADER-UNIVERSAL TIRE PRESSURE GAUGE MANUFACTURED BY A. SCHRADER'S SON-INC. BROOKLYN N.Y. U.S.A.". This gauge is about 2.4" long with the inside gauge retracted, and is brass on the outside. It has about 20% of the original nickel plating on it, otherwise in very good condition. It comes with a small leather case that is also in very good shape. This one was most likely given as a gift to employees, and to my knowledge is quite rare. This was purchased in the Akron Ohio area, where the Goodyear plant is located. A rarely seen automobile tire collectible!
