Description: Here is an outstanding midcentury covered butter dish. The beautifully detailed hammered aluminum cover is decorated with a large chrysanthemum and leaf. The knob is an aluminum flower and the bottom edge curves to conform with the beautiful scroll pattern of the glass butter dish. The scroll edge accents to flower design on the bottom of the gbutter dish. The glass bottom piece mreasures 8 1/8" long and 4 3/8" wide. When the cover is in place the piece measures about 2 7/8" high. I have left the patina. You may chose to clean and polish the aluminum.
