Mr. Fretwell was the owner of Monfret Kennels, which bred champion standard poodles. He was former president and governor of the Poodle Club of America, and the Italian Greyhound Club of America. He also served as a delegate to the American Kennel Club for decades. His wonderful collection of books has been carefully maintained. *** Ginger’s Adventures. A lovely puppy (which I believe is a Beagle), after destroying a doll, escapes from his new home in London and returns to his friends in the farmhouse. Very cute! Jacket spine has faded, and there is light rubbed wear to edges. Clean, bright boards. Mr. Fretwell's bp on front free endpaper. Interior is clean, bright, and sound. VG+.
