The medallions are made of cast-bronze (or metal) and gilded. The raised decoration is in the Troubadour Style. In one a woman leans her head on a man's shoulder and in the other a man kneels at a woman's feet. The figures are dressed in the fashion of the Middle Ages. Each medallion is in a square stained-oak frame. The medallions were not examined out of the frames, so it is not known if they are signed. Dimensions: Each (including frame): 7-3/4" High, 7-3/4" Wide, 2-1/4" Deep. Total weight: 4 lbs. Condition: The medallions were not examined out of frame. They appear to be in very good condition. The frames show signs of age and wear. The stain is chipped away in places and there are surface scratches. The back of one frame appears to be a little loose.
