Description: These are truly wonderful 19th century fireplace andirons. They are in the most incredible design. They have such form and movement the casting is superb. The brass is rich and mellow. There is a classical motif of cross rods with flowers and hugely draping floral vines that trail across the body. They are decorated with a top central female portrait head. The movement is sublime and free flowing in this classical pair. They measure 16 5/8”h x 12 ½” at widest x 22 ½” at deepest.
