Description: Item/Description: Vintage Made in Germany Three (3)-piece Smoke Set consisting of a Highly Majolica-glazed Lusterware-Accented Ceramic Art Pottery Two (2)-handled Lidded/Covered Tobacco Jar Humidor and Lighter with Two (2)-tiered Wooden Six (6)-piece Fitted Pipe Rack. There is a section on the Wooden Pipe Rack which fittedly accommodates the Tobacco Jar, with the Lighter being a Complementary "Marriage" to this Set *Lighter reads "Behüt dich Gott Es Hat nicht sollen sein (loosely translated to mean "God do not protect has should be you it")" and "Behüt dich Gott Eswär’so schöngewesen (loosely translated to mean "God Eswär protect you' so beautiful ware")" with the number "1309" incised in the section beneath the handle but on the main body Age/Period: Vintage Manufacturer/Identification/Markings: Underside of Tobacco Jar is incised "Western Germany" along with a number "6 or 9" and a symbol that somewhat resembles a "Tent/Teepee/Triangle with Criss Crossing Lines Running Through It;" Underside of Lighter is also incised "Western Germany" with a letter "V" and a separate number "7," with its top interior metal marked "GHB West Germany;" underside of Wood Pipe Rack is felt-covered so no markings are apparent or visible Material(s)/Format: Porcelain/Ceramic/Bisque/Art Pottery Size/Measurements: Tobacco Jar - approximately 6 1/4"H; Lighter - 5 1/4"H; Wooden Pipe Rack - 5"H to its upper Tier x nearly 10 ½"L x 5 ½"W Quantity: Five (5) pieces - Tobacco Jar Body & Lid; Lighter Body & removable Top; and Wooden Pipe Rack Condition: Tobacco Jar is NEAR MINT, evincing no noted nicks, chips, cracks, breaks or repairs; Lighter is EXCELLENT, also evincing no noted nicks, chips, cracks, breaks or repairs, with only noted condition factors being a modicum of rub marks along the lower edge of the Lusterware Base; Wooden Pipe Rack is also EXCELLENT, evincing no noted wood losses ***Please note that Lighter does not presently spark (whether due to lack of lighter fluid or another reason is undetermined)
