Description: Uncanceled official stamp from the German Democratic Republic, printed in 1956, #022a. According to the 1999 Scott's Stamp Catalogue, these stamps were not sold to the public unused, so finding them in an uncanceled condition is rare. This one in particular has the arc of the compass projecting at right. Olive green 20pf denomination. This one has been previously hinged, but gum is intact on back of stamp.
