Description: Beautiful and rare Georgian period Wax letter seal that came from a fine gentleman in Virginia that collected only the best of the best of Royal Family Artifacts. This little treasure has six different seals made of various precious stones that would roll over the back of an envelope or letter leaving the impression of each message. Each seal would lament a message. They are as follows: 1.May the Eye of God Watch Over You. 2.Respondezvite 3.Good Night Alls Well. 4. Forget Me Not. 5.Always at Home 6.A note of Hope. The gem measures 2 1/2" inches tall and is likely some grade of gold. A superb hand cut ruby is mounted on the ferrule. The detail and craftsmanship of this piece is marvelous.
