Description:
This is a pair of superb and rare original late Georgian English Regency Rococo style serving dishes in Sheffield plate silver. Circa 1815- 1820. These are wonderfully large and heavy decorative objects. Rectangular shaped with curved corners, deep curved well and a broad rim, applied cast foliate, acanthus and shell border, Each singed on the back G.B. The Condition on theses dishes are wonderful with them retaining most of there original Silver. Thy have some small silver wear on the detail Rococo decoration on the corners that you only see when looking close at them and one has a piece of silver missing on the bottom of the dish the size of a pea showing the copper. Thy are 12" 1/2 inches by 9" 1/2. and are 1" 1/2 inches deep.
