Rare and Beautiful English or American Georgian period ivory miniature portrait brooch. It is an exquisite ivory portrait miniature of a gentleman c. 1820. He is very well done. He is set in a 9 carat gold frame, The paste diamonds are set in sterling silver. This could be used as a brooch or pin with a C scroll clasp on the back. Beautiful large brilliant cut paste diamonds surrounding the gold mounting. He can also be worn as a pendant, hanging, as there is a small ring for a chain or chord. The ivory is in PERFECT condition, as is the original rock crystal glass. Also, the stones are still lively and bright and the gold is perfect as well. The piece is 1" long by 3/25 inches wide. In very good condition.
