This is a very rare item. It is 18th century English Georgian Neoclassical shaped mourning brooch. This is a very Museum high quality custom made piece of jewelry for a wealthy person. The front is bright cut engraved 18 carat gold in a Neoclassical shaped I believe the back of the brooch to be pinchbeck. It is enameled with a Royal blue and white band. The white stands for the person not being married at the time of death. Underneath the domed rock crystal is blond hair that is plaited.
