Description: George III Oak 8 Day Longcase Clock A lovely Georgian oak longcase clock by Joseph Leyton of Portsmouth (Hants) dating from 1760-1770. The case is in lovely un-touched original condition and a beautiful colour. Good quality 5 pillar 8 day movement striking the hours on a bell. Nice brass dial with gilt spandrels, silvered chapter ring, subsidiary seconds dial and working date indicator. Clock in good working order, keeping good time and complete with weights, pendulum, bell and winding key.
