Description:
This tankard has a tapering cylindrical form onto a spreading foot.
The lower portion of the body has a plain decorated applied girdle.
The domed hinged cover has a scroll thumbpiece.
The plain S scroll handle has a heart shaped terminal and has been engraved with contemporary initials 'SIM'.
The maker's mark is also struck to the handle.
The tankard is a very good gauge of silver, a very good colour and in excellent and original condition.
The hallmarks are clear.
