Description: George Burns doll by Effanbee doll company as part of the Legend Series, very detailed plastic doll wearing a tux and holding a cigar, in original packaging, limited edition from 1986. This item was a gift from Linda Hope to her father. Burns and Hope were friends who performed together at the beginning of their careers. When George and Gracie turned down a movie that would also star Bing Crosby the script was reworked to incoprorate Hope and Dorothy Lamour to become "The Road To Singapore." Hope loved this doll of his friend George Burns. Doll stands 16 inches tall
