Description: Rare Sterling Georg Jensen Cat Brooch and Earrings, modernist whimsical design signed JoPol for Joan Polsdorfer. Polsdorfer was the first American jewelry designer and maker to work for Georg Jensen, USA. The cat's head brooch, with one eye closed and the other a tigers eye cabochon, adorned with four long whiskers. The screw back earrings with one eye closed and the other a silver eye. Stamped "Georg Jensen Inc. USA, 256 (284 Earrings) JoPol Sterling. Brooch measures 2 inches width. Weight: 23.6gm.
