Description: This is a wonderful wall sconce from the 19th century (the aesthetic movement). It is of beautiful casted brass! The sconce has a lovely all over intricately designed floral shade with the same designs that are on the decorative parts of the gas sconce. The patina that has built up on the frame is very elegant and rich. This gas sconce has now been fitted for electricity – for the person decorating and restoring an aesthetic movement 19th century home a find like this could be truly exciting. This wall sconce measures 17 ½” out from the wall and it is approximately 12” high x 4 ¾” diameter of shade.
