Description: Molded art glass brooch in iridescent pink. Known as the "Fairy Brooch", it was designed by Gabriel Stalin, the chief designer for Piel Freres. The "G. Stalin" signature is to the lower right of the figure. There is another such brooch, smaller and with a replaced back, visible on the Tadema Gallery website. This one measures 1.75" or 4cm in diameter, and has it's original gold back. There is a small area on the lower right hand side edge, that appears to be chipped with a small crack that may have been repaired. Circa 1900, and very Art Nouveau! Sold by Inglenook Antiques...Established 1990.
