Description: Gabriel Harrison (1818-1902), American. Mountain landscape, oil on canvas, 33" x 56," signed lower center, "G Harrison 1872." This dramatic scene of snow-covered mountains and craggy heights features a farmstead in the foreground with men and horses working the fields, and sheep grazing. A farmhouse is nearly hidden below the front field, and other farmsteads dot the distant areas. Fine gold leaf frame.
