Fish of shells wall art. This falls into the category of kitsch or border-line hideous art! However credit needs to be given to the Filipino artisans that took great care and time to lovingly glue each of these tiny shells into place. Not only do we have a fish shape of wood of shells but an element of interest into undersea world. This fish has a diorama window that gives a glimpse into this world. The scene is created with painted wood fish, simulated starfish & coral and small cowrie shells behind a clear plastic window. I think that this item would be perfect for a beach house or kids playroom or bathroom. (there is no reason for shame if you want to hang in a prominent place in your home.)
It measures approx 13" long and 9 1/2" wide.
It has a red felt backing and a label indicating that it was made in the Philippines.
You have to admit you don't see these things everyday.
