This tin was sold by Comstock Bros. in Utica, New York. It says it possesses all the medical properties of the effervescing spring in Germany. The tin contained blue and white paper that dissolved in water and drank right away, for a strong cathartic action. Pat. July 24, 1888 by Atkinson’s. There is a impressed mark on the bottom with the pat. Date and Comstock Bros. Brooklyn N.Y.. The tin was actually patented in may 8, 1884 by Somers Bros..
