Description: Turquoise metal oval tole tray C.1865-75 from France. The background paint behind the gorgeous hand painted floral with roses and grape clusters in the center is slightly crackled as definition to the age. Deep rose to deep red,purple,mustard yellow,blue,navy,cream and green comprise the tole palette. The fretwork open sides have handles either end with the rim edged in mustard yellow. Very slight paint wear to the rim otherwise excellent condition. Measures 11L X 8H X 1.25D,large enough to be extremely useful as well as decorative.
