Description:
This is a Porcelain Bracket Clock with matching Candelabra Garnitures. Each has an elaborate design which reflects the elegance of the Neoclassical Period. We purchased it in Paris, France. It is in very good condition. The Clock and Garnitures are glazed a beautiful Burgundy. They are embellished with a delicate hand painted pattern of Gilded Foliate Scroll Work with gorgeous White and Blue accents. The Clock is elegant and tall. It has a Urn Form. Ormolu Mounts create the gorgeous Handles at either side while a spectacular Cone and Scroll Work Garniture flairs upward from the top of the Clock. Lovely, Scrolls frame the Dial. The Clock is supported upon an exquisite Scroll Work Ormolu Base with Bracket Feet. The Dial is black with applied Gilded Roman Numerals. It is embellished with hand painted, Gilded Scrolls. There are Two Winding Holes, one for the Clock Mechanism and one for the strike of the Bell on the hour. Opening the elaborately pierced, Door at the rear reveals the Movement. It has a Makers Mark (C.N.N. 7032). The matching Garnitures take on the form of Candelabras. They are made in the same elegant style with Ormolu Mount Handles at either side. The Candelabras have five intricately formed, interwoven Stems each. They are incredibly lovely. This is a very fine, rare French Porcelain Bracket Clock with matching Garnitures. It will look spectacular on a mantle or on a formal Dining Table.
